The Early Help Advisor team comprises of skilled staff from within the Local Authority Family Matters team who have worked in Wirral for many years with a wealth of knowledge, skills and experience of working directly with families.
Each Wirral school has an Early Help Advisor who will be their single point of contact for Early Help.
Early Help Advisors are embedded into schools to offer support, guidance and signposting at the earliest opportunity to ensure children, young people, and families have access to the most appropriate support.
Early Help Advisors can:
- offer face to face or telephone consultations to schools
- provide signposting and guidance to both schools and families on appropriate services that can be accessed across Wirral
- work with schools to prevent delay and difficulties becoming ongoing, or becoming worse
- arrange meetings with school and parents
- arrange for you to join parenting programmes
