There are some things you can try that could make a difference to your family life:

  • Go to your GP if there is a worry that your child has ADHD. A diagnosis may help you to move forwards.
  • Talk to the rest of your family to make sure they understand what is going on, so you are all on the same page.
  • Set some boundaries and don’t put up with bad behaviour e.g., swearing.
  • Ensure you help your child have a healthy lifestyle including a balanced diet, exercise and a sleep routine.
  • Lastly, find out about local parenting support groups to interact with other parents going through the same thing. You can help each other.
