BAFTA’s programme for children and young people aims to inspire and inform primary and secondary age students, teachers, parents and carers. The film, games and television industries are uniquely placed to engage children and young people in developing their creativity, mental well-being and transferrable skills; but our programme for young audiences also helps drive a more inclusive industry by providing aspiration from an early age and highlighting the variety of career opportunities available.
Activity is focused on three key initiatives – Young Game Designers, Young Presenters and Young Creators – with a mix of online resource/content, competitions and showcases, which can be enjoyed wherever you are; and live events including workshops, masterclasses and previews, taking place around the country.
In response to coronavirus, BAFTA Kids and Place2Be have developed an At Home With Place2Be strand. This includes our BAFTA Kids & Teens YouTube channel, where some familiar faces from kid's TV tell us what to watch and play at home, as well as creative challenges and activities for kids and families to do together.
